| Science Olympiad tournaments are rigorous academic interscholastic competitions that consist of a series of team events, which students prepare for during the year. These challenging and motivational events are well balanced between the various science disciplines. This year, Razi School team of 17 students competed with other school teams from New York City and came second to advance to the state level competitions for the second consecutive year. |
The American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) today announced the top students chosen to advance to the Semifinal round of U.S. Physics Team selection. Approximately 3,000 students participated in this first phase of the selection process, the Fnet=ma Exam, in January. Each year, AAPTand the American Institute of Physics (AIP) sponsor a competition for high school students to represent the United States at the International Physics Olympiad Competition (IPhO). |
| The
AMC 8 is a 25 question, 40 minute multiple choice examination in middle school
mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem
solving skills. The AMC 8 is designed for students
in grades 8 and below. In the 2010 competition, 153,211 students participated worldwide and Razi School average was 20.8 (US national average being 9.98); all of the 9 participants from Razi were placed among the top 5% of all participants and received awards from the organization and Razi School was listed as one of the for honor roll schools from NY state. |
