November Newsletter

A parent teacher conference is a brief meeting or conference between the parents and teachers of students. This is to discuss a child's progress at school and find solutions to academic or behavioral problems. On Friday, November 12, 2021, Razi School hosted its first in-person parent conference in nearly two years. It was a productive day for both parents and teachers. Parents showed up and were updated on the status of their children. We will continue to host parent teacher conferences at the end of every marking period for the rest of the school year.

RAZI SCHOOL DOES NOT TOLERATE BULLYING

We will always be against wrong doing behaviors that lead to unfair acts of violence and the violation of Islamic behavior. Islam is the religion of love, empathy, and compassion. We carry in our blood the name of Islam, the name of peace. As Muslims it is our duty to encourage good and prevent evil. The word thulm in Arabic means oppression. Keep at your heart how painful this is and how you, yourself, would feel if you were abused in any way. Islam comes from the Arabic root word silm which means peace. Islam does NOT permit bullying and harassment.

What the Quran says about bullying:

Believers, let not a group of you mock another. Perhaps they are better than you. Let not women mock each other, perhaps one is better than other. Let not one of you fins faults in another not let anyone of you defame another. How terrible is the defamation after having true faith. Those who do not repent are certainly unjust.”

Surat I-hujurat; eleventh aya

REPORT CARDS

ARE OUT!

Razi School did not let all of the hard work of the first term go unnoticed! A few students of each and every grade received an award for succeeding and improving in their classes. These awards came from all subjects and different teachers. While gathered together, all the students from each grade were congratulated for making it through the first marking period. It paid off well!

THANKSGIVING DINNER TABLE

We all have different ways of giving thanks to the sustenance God provides us, and one way of appreciating the family and love we are given is by eating food with one another. Every family has a different table depending on their cultural heritage. Today I'll show you some of the dishes we may bring to the Thanksgiving table.
