On Monday October 17th our High School students hosted a Cancer Awareness Day event. The day began with a presentation about cancer during the morning assembly, which was presented by Amira, Nahiyan, Liba and Maya. During lunch time High School students organized a fundraiser which consisted of bake sale, face painting, raffles, cancer awareness bracelet sale and Jeopardy. Grades 4-9 participated in a game which was designed and prepared by the presenters team.
Students were asked questions about cancer and the class with the most points earned was rewarded with a pizza party.
Money that was raised will be sent to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Students wore pink in support of those who suffer from cancer.
This event was a success thanks to our hard working students.
Once again our High School students showed strong organization skills, compassion and willingness to help those in need.
GOOD JOB EVERYONE !!
